The good company

"It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest."This is the point that Adam Smith emphasised in "The Wealth of Nations"(...)
(...) The standard of living people in the west enjoy today is due to little else but the selfish pursuit of profit. this is not the fatal defect of capitalism, as CSR-advocates appear to believe; it is the very reason capitalism works.

Capitalism works for some. The others (less fortunate ones) tend to disagree.

A system without a flaw, has no merit.

the system is not flawed, it's flawed implementation (global trade system, political inclinations in implementation processes, etc.)

The thing is that Capitalism is a system that put things into their extreme; rich nations become richer and poor ones become poorer!

Hey cutie

Capitalism does originate from selfishness. But, what that creates is truly beautiful. Because, only in the striving to meet the needs of others and creating a better life for someone...anyone...can one be successful in the capitalist model.

If the benefit is only to one or a small group, the capitalist model does not allow the success to be long term.

Your nuptial photos are wonderful. May all your dreams come true.

It's easy for the more fortunate ones of us to say that capitalism is beautiful... I've seen too much poverty that compells me to disagree.

While through capitalism and hard work it is possible to be successful in some places; this is not a universal truth valid in all countries.

I agree with Devrim. The capitalism system can be dangerous if applied in a society with high illitracy because only few people (educated people or people with power) will benefit! So many places still have to do some years of work before thinking of implementing capitalism system...
